Author Biography

Emil Ruffer

Emil Ruffer, born in 1974, he is the Director of Communitarian Law at the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic and an external associate of the
Department of European Law of the Law Faculty of Charles University in
Prague. In 2011, he served as a Visiting Fulbright Scholar at Fordham Law
School in New York. He is the author of numerous articles in academic
journals in the field of EU law, a regular contributor to the Czech Yearbook of
Public & Private International Law and also publishes abroad (for example, a
chapter in the monograph From Eastern Partnership to the Association: A
Legal and Political Analysis, published in 2014 by Cambridge Scholars
Publishing). His areas of interest include, in particular, the law of EU
external relations, institutional issues in the EU and intersections of
constitutional, international and European law.
